please help me identify these parts
You are fortunate to own a set of 4 1956-1962 hubcap spinners. Unfortunately they are the post Ralph Nader ones. Honest Injun. After Mr. Nader began his campaign against the auto industry, one consequence of his efforts was the removal of all hubcap spinners with protruding “ears”. You have those genuine GM parts department supplied spinners – minus the sharp “ears”. Well they really weren’t sharp, but perhaps could injure someone inadvertently. After Mr. Nader efforts none of the hubcaps could be sold with spinners, so GM retooled and you have that part.
They make good garage ornaments. Even I have one in my collection. Not really of value for a 1956-1962 restoration.
