Alternator Bracket Problems!
A while back there was a discussion on alternator brackets being broken easily. Someone mentioned that they were using a later model bracket #3951337. Beings how I didn’t have a bracket yet I went to a junk yard and found this bracket. When I tried to line it up the extended horn (with bolt holes) of the exhaust manifold interfered with the bracket, the manifold sticks out further than the head. How did you get this bracket to work for you? If anyone has photos that would be great. 1970 350.

That bracket can be used when you have headers. It should bolt only to the forward end of driver side head. If you still have rams horns, you'll need the regular stock bracket for your 70. I'm trying to find the same bracket but shop and catalogues want $65. Too much.

I thought about grinding down the end of the manifold, but just couldn't bring myself to do it. It took me forever just to find a proper maniflold. I guess that I'll have to bite the bullet and buy a new bracket.
