If the carpetting isnt dry rotted, you could just buy some aerosol dye for your color carpetting thru Mid AMerica. Thats what i did and it makes the carpetting look brand new. However, if its in really sad shape then the best place for new carpetting is The Last Detail in GA. They will be $20-50 cheaper than anyone else.
IN case youre interested, i have a complete brand new set of black carpetting , front and back , still in the box unused and never installed. I took delivery of it before i found out about just using the aerosol dye. Ill let it go at a reasonable price .
Just bought mine from Wilcox. Posted a question on the NCRS forum & found out they carry the most "correct" carpet in terms of color. But they are missing some kind of logo. During NCRS judging, somebody only lost 1 point on the carpet. It's made by ACC...website link: http://www.yankeelady.com/willcox/willcox2.htm#carpet
Bust if you don't care about they NCRS stuff, then they are also the cheapest @ $149 with padding (for a '72). :)
Last Detail is the best price I found. They also carry ACC. I thought the NCRS guys liked Al Knoch? I bought the ACC and it is OK, but their customer service (at ACC, not at Last Detail) leaves a lot to be desired. Next time I will get Al Knoch.
