Who makes the best motor mount for a 73 Big Block? I recently broke one which cause a fair amount of damage and I don't want a repeat. I want a bulletproof mount that will not break. I'll go solid if I have to, I've done it before and it didn't bother me any, but I'd prefer the Urethane or rubber ones.
I'm interested in good urethane or rubber motor mounts as well, but for a 350 instead. What is a good mount for say 300hp / 300tq or so? I want good mounts that will stand up to the engine mods I want to do.
You can get interlocking mounts. They use regular rubber but if they tear they have a safety bracket that prevents the engine from moving more than 1/4" or so.
Those locking mounts aren't so good I have bent the locks in the past and cracked my shroud. I currently have pole urethane mounts I think there by Energy Suspension or something like that any way there pretty easy to find I believe Pep Boys carry's them for about 35 a piece or so. They are made so they cant come apart and believe me they wont I already put mine to the test.

Moroso solids. There are two part numbers. I don't recall the exace specs or numbers, but one is made of thicker material than the other. Buy the thinner of the two options. The thicker ones won't work--you'll be able to get one side or the other connected to the car with the through-bolt but you will NOT be able to get the other side.
And don't listen to the Internet Know-It-Alls who are very likely going to jump in here and tell you the solids suck on the street because they transmit engine vibrations to the frame and that will make for an uncomfortable ride, yadda, yadda, yadda.
It's B.S. Unless, of course, you have a particularly sensitive (and girly seat-of-the-pants.
