Default Organizing Sparkplug wires

I didnt like the look of all my sparkplug wires hanging all over my intake manifold and such so i changed the direction they were wrapped around the HEI distributer, i then later read the hayne's manual and it said not too change the way the wires are wrapped around the distributer. So i was wondering if what i did was alright or if i should change it back.

Edit* this is what they looked like before i changed them, now there are no wires hanging out in front.

The only area that I can see that may be a problem is the routing of #5 and 7 as they are after each other in the firning order and if run on top of each other cross fire can occur. However, your layout seems to space all the wires out. BTW how does it run? If ok, a success.

I have just bought some of those wire separators and the posts that attach to the valve covers, haven't fitted them yet because I am cleaning up the engine bay. They look good and really keep the whole area looking organised and tidy. I think Cali,68,L-79 uses something simlilar and a pic of his engine shows it up real well.

Just check the firing order one more time starting from the #1 plug and position on the cap. Worst case might be a miss but I doubt it. Fire it up.
