Thanks for your advise earlier. I was wondering about the Holley fuel pumps. Favre indicated on another thread the Holley's don't have a return line feed.
Is there a problem with not having a return line feed? (I know it is supposed to prevent vapor locks.) Also, if there is no problem what do I do with the return line feed line...just cap it off?
One of my buddies and I did mine. This is how we did it. Don't cap the return line off or pressure will built up in your tank. Just cut the return line near the tank and put a small cheap fuel filter on the end of it. This will let the air it the tank needs to equal out the pressure and not let dirt or anything in.
Re: Another Holley Fuel Pump Question ('74BigBlock)
I am a little confused but I understand what you are doing. Is the vapor line on a sealed system not to capture the fuel vapors in the pump and allow them to migrate back to the tank? This way the pressures equalize on the fuel line to the pump. With a non-vented gas cap it is equalized. Could you not put the filter on at the fuel pump area if you need to revert back to stock.
If you plug the line seems like ou have to go to a vented cap or there are pressures in the tank, right?
