Ebay should have this on their front page and send emails to all registered users. If they can pull this off, the next time it will be Paypal accounts clones or you name it.
I always love to look at the persons identity they steal. She bought a top, some flatware, a kilt, and a book on jobs at home. :crazy:

What's happening on ebay and paypal right now is the result of spoofing. Scammers harvest email addresses off of ebay and send very authentic looking emails out that instruct the buyer to "reconfirm" their passwords. I do a lot of ebay, so I get a lot of these spoof emails. The latest one is truly scary--it's a PayPal spoof that looks 99% authentic & doesn't ask you to email your password. Instead you click through to a webpage that is not only identical to PayPal's, it has what looks like their secure domain name, right down the the "https://" secure designator. The only way I was able to tell it was fake was that the email was addressed to "Dear PayPal User"--PayPal and ebay will NEVER send you an email addressed like that. They always use your full name in the salutation.

What you see below is an e-mail scam designed to gain access to your accounts if you respond to it with your password, etc. It does look very authentic but EBay does not request information in this manner. This type of correspondence should be reported to spoof@ebay.com. EBay acts very quickly on such matters.
