When I list stuff, I normally start it at $1.00 with no reserve. Then, I say "Let the market bring what the market will bring." I don't rape people on shipping and handling. And I sit back and watch what my stuff earns. To date, I've gotten fair prices at best. Sometimes, I'm surprised by how much I've made.
People don't like to jump in with both feet, when an item is priced close to what it is worth. People want a bargain, even if they are willing to spend more. I depend on competition between bidders to bring me more.
WAIT! Will you sell me the rocker panels only? I'm having a devil of a time finding any for less that $150 since my bogus deal from Geopar fell through...
Give a small description on the parts try and make it look like a honest auction not that I am saying its not but strangers don't know this. Good luck
I agree you should split the rocker panels off from the rest. If I wanted the rocker panels, I sure would not want to have to pay the shipping on those heavy calipers.
I think I would have been more descriptive with the title....something like
"1968 Corvette Stingray Parts- Rocker Panels, 1968 Dated Calipers and Master Cylinder, and Dash Wiring Harness", that way your auction would come up on more people's searches and more people would see your auction.
More exposure=More $$$$$
Good luck with the sale! :seeya
I definitely would have split the rocker trim, calipers, and wiring harness into 3 separate auctions. The chances that one guy wants all 3 items is slim to none unless he's a dealer and then he'd want to lowball you so he could make a buck. Since no one has bid yet, you can still stop the auction and re-list.
