differential codes for a 79
Well I am back in the C3 business with a red 79 and I am in the process of hunting down what all this car was built with and what has been changed. Was wondering if anyone would have the actual stamped in codes for the differential of a 79. I am trying to confirm axle ratio.

79 rear codes are as follows per the book "How To Modify and Restore Your Corvette, by Richard Newton.
3.36 = OM
3.55 = OH
3.70 = OJ

Thanks Eddie 70. The car by vin is an L48. And it is an automatic. It is also an early build car. Has the 140 speedo and the 3 door compartment. Just starting some work on the car to get to where I feel confident on the road. Will check tach and speedo and then do some calculations to confirm.
