Re: On eBay: '72 Vette with 489 miles (Electron Blue '02)
Bidding was up to 60 grand with 4 hours left and the reserve price was still not met! No car cover so it can breathe? Kind of hard to breathe under 32 years of dust! Wonder if he's selling the other Vette too.

If you were selling a vette for 60 large, would you clean it before you took pictures?????????
no no no!!! Several layers of dust enhances the notion of "treaure" and increases market value. If you don't have any dust handy a few shovel fulls of dirt in the engine bay will usually do the trick! MJ
This is interesting that this car made it to ebay. I had been talking with this owner for several months about this car and a possible purchase. Supposedly he wasn't in a hurry to sell, but I guess that has changed. It is all legit I can tell you that, certainly the mileage and story. What I am not crazy about is the condition the car was keep in for so many years, and the value that this person wants for the car. I have seen low mileage survivors kept in better condition than this and go for less. But, it's his car, he can ask what he wants for it and he'll probably get it too.

Thats what I love about the forum, us neophytes get to learn from the experts.
Do you think there might be a market for simulated dust?
