My brakes were working fine.
Then, I drained and flushed the system and filled it up with DOT 5. Everything bled out correctly and flowed nicely.
Now the car pulls to the left when I brake. It did not do this before.
Any thoughts?
Is it dangerous to drive it like this?
I only know the obvious. Is it a sharp pull or a gradual pull? A sharp pull indicates it is probably in the front wheels, a gradual pull indicates it is in the rear wheels. This is not always true, but usually.
Check tire pressure
Check for caliper leak and/or fluid on the pads
Check sticking piston. If you didn't get a good flush, the DOT 5 will form a sticky messs with the DOT 3 brake fluid. This could cause a piston to stick or a brake line to clog.
Check alignment.
Wide tires, that we all run, will make the pull seem worse
:smash: Don't think so... If it did not pull before you messed with the brakes, there is no reason I can think of being an alignment problem.
You probably have a very slight amount of air in one side causing that side not to brake as well as the opposite side. The BEST way to bleed a Corvette break system is to POWER BLEED the system. You will see a temendous difference.
