Re: help on front end alignment on 71 vette (lstill)
All the vets are aligned the same way and yes I know how to align a vet but so should the alignment shop. The vet is no different than many other passengers car. How could I help you. Without the equipment you can not do it yourself and if you have to ask how it is done you need to get it into a good alignement shop.
Just because it was done by a shop doesn't mean it is right.

If you just had it aligned and the tires are that bad, those clowns at the alignment shop probably never checked for worn suspention parts either.
If you've got the mechanical ability I would rebuild the entire front suspension. That means upper & lower ball jts., upper & lower A frame bushings, idler arm, inner & outer tie rod bushings and sway bar links. This is not high tech work, a lot of large hammers are involved!
Face it the car is 30+ years old and unless you know the age of all the parts it's best to just replace 'em and know for sure.
