Once the pipe is disconnected at the trans crossmember yu should have enough lever arm to bust it from manifold. Okay so you can't get the pipes to separate at the crossmember either? Try rust penetrant soak of connection for a couple hours then remove muffler from hanger (even bigger lever arm) and work back and forth until diconnected at x-member. :lol:
OOOpps! I didn't consider the side mount headers statement. But method should be similar to regular mufflered exh.
