How do I tell the difference...

a 2800 stall (I was told), how do I tell the difference between the two?
Also which one should I run with a mild 30 over 350?
Cam is a Melling 22101 (don't have the specs for it)

Depending upon what you plan on doing with the car, either one would be appropriate. The 2800 will launch the car better as the engine will be up into the power band before the convertor hooks up. However if you plan on idling around town, you might find the stock to be better for this application.
My Camaro had a 3500 in it when I got it and it launched like a bandit. However to get across town with the nearly open headers and not alert the local police, I had to "goose it" to get the trans to "hook up" and then let it coast for awhile, repeating the process until I got home. Either that or I had to keep it at 2500+ rpm just to get it to move along slowly, slipping all the way. I ended up swapping it out for a 2400 as my plans were to drive it on the street and not drag race it. FWIW.
Whichever way you go, Good Luck!
