Actually I have a side post Delco battery. I made a "bracket" from a small copper buss bar to allow the top mounting of the cut-off switch. If I figure out how to post a picture of my setup I'll "show it off".
I'd love to see what you did. Sounds cool. Still, for me having to make a bracket to improve it's use is more than I wanted to deal with in the first place. It was suppose to be simple, easy and function properly the way it came. I just don't want to fart around with it.

I bought the Mid America one for mine. If you think the top post battery is bad, try using one of these on a side-post wheer there is very little room to work it.
