That is one beautiful vehicle. I wonder if he gets the same questions I do. "What kind of gas mileage does it get?" "How much is the insurance?" "Aren't dark colors hot in the summer?" Doesn't seem to fit here though, does it?

Thanks for the comps, outlaw street use to be only requirements dot tires ,mufflers and weigh over 3000lbs. Now there are all kinds of rules and penalties for whether you have small blk,big blk, turbo etc.Mainly cause of the tube chassis cars .Will be posting up to date pics soon .

I think I could take him.... you see those big blowers create wind resistance. Most folks don't relaize that. .....Just Wind Resistance.

On a more serious note, thats a nice looking machine!

Well norval you asked so here it is. First off let me say that when I purchased the car in 91 It was a stock 454 car with 27thousand miles on it. I had just got out of racing superbikes .Having been use to a cycle that weighed 365pounds and had 170 hp I knew my stock 15.7 times werent going to cut it.14 years later this is what I have.Rack &pinion front steering with coil overs. Fire wall set back 3inches. Strange front racing calipers and rotors. The whole front brake kit weighs 22lbs,thats calipers and rotors. mounting brackets .Iam a firm believer in light rotating weight. Now the factory frame is gone from where the doors back was.A morrison 2x4 clip was put in with 17 inch frame rails and 14pt mild steel cage. certified to 7.50 or slower.Rearend is a big bearing ford with Mark Williams Pro mod center section. It is a alum 3.812 thru bolt carrier design with 9 and a half inch pro gears in 4.10 or 3.70 ratio. Titanium spool and strange 40 spline gun drilled axles. The ring gears are also drilled and lightened by 3 pounds. This is an option you can have from strange or Mark williams.I have the Mark williams rear brakes. This entire rearend with brakes weighs only 145pounds. It is rated to 3000hp so I never have to worry about it.Suspension is 4 link with coil overs and a track locater which keeps the rearend centered when launching. Rear wheels are 15x15 with 32x17.5 or 32x 16 goodyear tires screwed to the rims.I have a Mark williams 4inch chrome moly driveshaft and yoke. A mikes 400 turbo with 10inch dual balloon plate converter locked at 2000 stall. This is shifted with a solenoid at whatever rpm you desire.Mine is at 7000 and 7200.2nd to 3rd. Interior is fully fiberglassed over the steel tubs, and carpeted, doorpaneles, custom dash and even two seats with harnesses. No fun if you cant scare someone every once in a while. My wife will never get in it again. Now for the engine. I love the look of a roots supercharger.Twin turbos or an ATI procharger could make more power easier,so I engineered the roots to the 21st century.Heres the stats 632 cu inch merlin 3 with 4.6bore and Sonny Bryant 4.75 crank. Oliver billet steel rods JE inverted dome 20cc 8.75 pistons.Brodix m2 4xtra cnc heads flowing over 475 cc and 312 on exhaust normally aspirated.Solid roller with upwards of .780 lift and 290plus duration.Reactor flexplate. The induction is the best .BDS stage iv HI HELIX billet rotor 14-71 supercharger displacing 526cu in per crank revolution at 1to1. Mine is set 20 percent over race or 5 percent on the street.Dual 1350 cfm nickerson dominators with a custom enderle buzzardcatcher air plenum.Fuel pump is an product engineering 700gal per hour set at 40psi to the front regulated at 8to 9 .Custom hooker header side pipes that have been cut by the framerails and 2 cylinders on each side ran into parallel pipes under the car. four pipes each running 2 cylinders thru 3inch mufflers. Makes it flow like a 6 inch exhaust. What brings the supercharger to the 21st century is the custom blower manifold with intercooler in the plenum. This air to water intercooler runs thru 2 mini water radiators and a coolcan in between them where the headlight buckets use to be. A separate pump flows the water supply thru the coolers .This is cooled even more with an arming switch that is activated at full throttle with an design engineering co2 spray bar. There is another cooler down stream on the fuel line with a spray bar that also cools the fuel . Both of these dramatically cool the air inlet charge allowing the engine to run 18lbs of boost with only 100 degrees of above ambient boosted air. This is usually 600 plus with a roots. We have tested this and we can make 4.65 percent more power for every pound of boost over whatever the engine made without .example 1000hp boosted with 10 pounds would be 1465etc. We have not gone past 18 pounds since traction and chassis are now the limiting factor. Car weight is 2760 with 12 gals fuel. It is 52 front and 48 rear with a 150 pound driver.Sorry for the long post . mike
