turtle, if you know any parts counter people, ask to look in the back of their shock catalog at the section that gives the specs for their airshocks and see if any come close to what you are looking for. Hershey :chevy

There are no air shocks that will fit the front of a vette.
Oh and active suspension was out lawed in F1 in 1996.

exactly, thats why i said i'm gonna modify the rears or find some others that are close.
if it doesn't work, i'm only out a pair of shocks and my time.

I know there are air shocks with a bayonete top mount . As for the bottom mount you can certainly modify the existing through bolt mount to turn it into something that will bolt up. If you really want to go this route it can be done.

cheap & effective
i ran that way for a while. didn't like it. The spring seemed to rub in the pocket and you can't get it back low for racing.

They now make a shock / air spring (bag) combo. I think it's called 'shockwave'. It's made for the front end of lowered trucks.
I had the same idea about using air bags for adjustable suspension. Then the shockwaves came out and I left the idea when I saw the price.
