5 speed TKO install questions

5 speed TKO install questions
Installing mine this saturday. 2 questions, though:
1: Do you have to cut the torque arm boss off the tailshaft? I've heard that you do, but I test fit my tranny, and it didnt seem to be in the way. Will it cause future problems?
2: Approx how much will the driveshaft need to be cut? What's the best way to measure?
