Default Electrical Question ???

I need to wire up my sterio and am not sure where I should wire it to? I put in a new dash harness so everything is back to original. I've located the radio plug and it has three (3) wires running to it (1 Gray - 1 Black - 1 Yellow) my radio has (1 red - 1 Black) should I try to connect to this or do it some other way? Any help would be greatly appreciated !
Thanks AnthonyLT1

On the original harness the Yellow is the power to the radio, the gray is the lamp and the black is ground. Most new radios have two power wires, one that is switched and one that is hot all of the time for the memory. So you can use the yellow for the switched, but you will need to find a source for the full time hot. The cigarette lighter is a possible source for that.

Thanks for the info, I don't think this radio has a memory? It has no L.E.D. readout. Only push buttons for the stations, kinda like the old radios. It is one of the USA-3 radios in the Corvette America Catalog. As far as the Harness that came with the radio - it has a red wire, a black wire and some thinner speaker wires. They are all labeled so easy to figure out. I just was not too sure about the + and - on the cars Harness. Thanks very much wombvette for the help !
