Default Torque converter lockup questions.

I have the TH-350 with tc lockup in my 81 and I had a few questions about the locking of the torque converter.
Is it the ECM that controls that or is it some other input that tells the converter to lock? Is it possible to manually control the lockup? Is this somewhere already on the forum that I could find? Any info would be greatly appreciated. :steering:

The ECM controls the lockup. I may be wrong, but I think you can install a Painless Wiring kit that will do the lockup thing.

I am going to make mine full manual when I put a ratchet shifter my formula, prolly get a hurst shifter handle with a botton built in. I like the feel of the t/c locked at about 2500 up, gives it a manual trans feel when you punch it, I hate it when your hear that eng wind up and the cars doesn't jump like in my vette. Just my personal preference.

BTW I think you need to patch into a 12v source to use a manul botton.
