Rear Suspension Tools
Other than Ecklers, where can one purchase the tools necessary to work on the rear suspension on a C-3 vette?? Spindle Installation, Rear Spindle Bearing Puller, Rear Spindle Press, Spindle Knocker, and Rear Spindle Set Up Tools. Im sure Ecklers marks up the prices by at least20%

I'm currently doing the same job on my '74. I'm sure I'll probably get flamed and loose my posting rights here, but I'll tell you the tools I've used successfully on my '68 and '73 road race car.
For a spindle knocker I use an old spark plug socket and a strong hammer
For the bearing puller, I use a harmonic balancer puller
To install the new outer bearing, I use the old one and a 2" pipe around the spindle and a stong hammer
For the set-up tool, I use sandpaper to turn down the spindle to slip fit the inner bearing (exactly the way the front outer bearing works)
You can then tighten the spindle nut to your own spec for preload/runout/endplay.
Just my $0.02 (but it works)
