Anyone know of a good web-site that shows step by step instructions for carpet installation? I did the carpet in my 65 ragtop and the rear portion was much easier than this 72 coupe I am working on now. I think I am being too careful and afraid to cut to trim. Anyway, if anyone knows of a good source, I would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Bob
Ed, thanks for the info. One more question if you don't mind. Do you cut out for the plastic seat belt covers in the front section? My old carpet was gone so I really have no idea of how it should be. It appears that I need to cut out and leave the seat belt cover expesed.
Thanks again,
Bob

Can a different Ed answer?? Yes...you cut out for the seat belt retractors, but leave enough carpet so it tucks under the covers. The covers are exposed....not under the carpet. You also might have to cut a small section out between the retractor well and door sill. (where the seat belt comes out from under the cover. The carpet made my seat belt opperation bind...so out it came.
Good Luck...
Eddie :D :D
Craig, I may be calling you or stopping over. The carpet was gone in this one so I really have no reference points to go by. It doesn't look difficult, I just am not sure which piece gets tucked over what to make it original. Stopped up at Mels at the Sportscar Center and he gave me a great sourch for having my seatbelts rebuilt. There is a guy in Jersey who does real quality work, reasonable and with a quick turnaround. I do have to stop over since I have been wanting to look at your 73 anyway.
Thanks for your offer.
Bob
