Ive run across a 1978 anniversary edition c3 that is for sale. The car is a little ragged though. No major damage just some small cracks and 25 years of wear and tear. Motor and tranny run good. What's it worth? What are the important things that make the car more or less valuable?
All 78's were 25th anniversary edition cars....however, that said.
There was a 2 tone paint options for the "Silver anniversary"
There was a Pace car made that year.
The First of the two above isnt likely to increase value that much, its just a paint option and is in no way unique apart from that fact.
Pace cars were built seperately, have different VIN's and generally are considered rare enough to have some value if in good shape.
Option wise, an L-82 or 4 speed equipped car will be desirable value wise, but condition is much more a driving factor than anything else. the 78 has yet to really start a climb in value (with perhaps the exception of the pace car) and can be had fro very reasonable prices.
For anyone here to be able to make any kind of judegement, pictures would help - the Vin, and options that are known would be of benefit.
This price guide seems somewhat reasonably accurate for old classics. Much closer than others I have seen online. At worse case at least it gives you some point of reference.
