Default ??? Block Numbers ???

I found a 4 bolt block, all the caps are there, and nothing else. It's kind of rusty, but not past the point of no return. I was going to take it in to have it checked out for rebuilding.
Does anyone know how to find out what version it is. the casting numbers are
3970010.
And how much should it be worth???
Thanks. :seeya

Those numbers correspond to a 327 or 350....possibly even a 302!

It's a good block........worth at least $175 - $250 if the magnaflux comes out good (no cracks) ;)

Well one site says,
1969-79 "3970010" 350...(185 to 370 HP) 2 or 4 bolt car, truck, Vette.

The other just says.
3970010....350...69-80...2 or 4

So at least I'm heading in the right direction...
Now I just need to take it to the machine shop and get it magna-fluxed, and I'll know where I stand. This block didnt look to be bored yet. lots of meat between the cylinders.

Thanks for the links guys....
