I really need new wheels for my car. The interior is alot better now but I need some shiny new wheels. I keep considering the AR Torque Thrust II's but can't make up my mind if I really want them B/C so many other folks have them. Then when I do decide I like them, I still can't decide what size 15" or 17". There is something about C3's with R/W/L fat tires even though I know 17's will handle better. Help!
Check with Boyd Coddington. Each wheel is custom made with several unique styles to choose from. I am running the Nemesis in 17 fronts and 18 rears. The Timeless 5 is also a popular choice. These are only a little more expensive than the TTII's. http://www.boydcoddington.com
I like the Boyd's allot but I am trying to find something different that doesn't look like a factory wheel. Has anyone else noticed all the new cars are coming out with some fancy wheels?
If you want something that doesn't look like a factory wheel, then stay away from the torq thrust II as well. They look a lot like the wheels available on the newer mustangs.
That was my thought as well. I work in a Ford garage & it's funny but they stole most of the good wheel designs, made them crappy & put them on cars like the Focus
I don't really know what I want for this car, I have done plenty of hot rods in my youth & never strugled to find wheels for them but this car is different. I don't know if my age has finaly caught up with me or what but I still can't decide how I envision this car. The TTII's are the closest I have come to deciding what I want & I'm on the fence about those (plus they are not cheap if I get 17's)
I'm selling mine, going a whole different direction than what the previous owner had in mind!
The ones I have are the American Racing 200S in chrome.
They are 15x7 in front and 15x10 in the rear. The tires on them are still in pretty good shape and can go with if desired (235/60 front and 275/60 rear)
I have pics if you want... $400 for all (plus shipping)
I had the Convo Pro's a few years ago when they first came out on my Z-28 but now I'm thinking 17's all the way around.
Leeloo, WOW, the polish looks great on your rims but how hard is it to keep up with them?
I don't have any input on the wheels other than I really like the TTII's even though lots of people have them.
On the other hand, your car looks exactly how I want mine to look on the outside:

The main difference being you can probably take pictures of your car as close-up as you want... mine on the other hand... about 10 feet is the closest I can get without really showing all the chips cracks and scratches.
