This is on my 71 console (auto), i can not find this gray connector in my assy manual. It comes out of the loom with the consoel grnd , and the cig lighter wires. Any ideas ? or should i tape it and forget it :smash:

I think thats the wire for the light bulb in the ash tray.All of the wires for bulbs in the dash are gray.

 

Guess there aren't too many wire guru's here. :jester

 

I heard from several people that if it's gray should be a light bulb , and after looking deeper into the AIM , i found that GM had an extension on the light bulb for the gear indicator plate :hurray:
