To repair a spiderweb, the hood has to be sanded down to base material. If it's bad, the cracking needs to be ground out. Hood then has to be repaired, fill-primed and blocked back and completely refinished. It's a ton of work to do it right, and I don't know anyone who would warranty the repair.

Nothing is cheap these days.
You catch the air cleaner mounting hardware ?
You could maybe reduce the $$ if your willing to go with a satrpe.
