was just wondering where the best place to find a good shop manual for my 1978. i have a haynes manual and it is the most worthless POS book i have. I am in the proccess or tearing apart the interior electrical system due to several issues and the manual would be a great help.
I have found over the years that anything other tha the GM (helms) manuals are just expensive toilet paper that can actually give you wrong information. I also find that the factory assembly manuals sold by corvette suppliers are very helpfu. They do not give you any how to info bu they do show all of the parts and assembly sequence plus where all of the washers shims and seals go. Lots of part numbers that are still good. Great investmet at around $20.
Youe need three books:
1) Factory Assembly Manual
2) GM Shop Manual - how to do the more routne jobs
3) GM Overhaul Manual - heavy duty work like rebuilding transmissions and rear ends

I would add the NCRS Wireing Guide.
