I rebuilt my 70 chevelle motor in my camaro with a summit engine kit. I changed a few different things in it though. I am very happy with it. The machine shop that did my crank and pistons on the rods said i have at least 400 hp with the 11 1/2 to 1 pistons. The motor has been very reliabile and strong.

NOTE: The only original parts left on my engine are the block, crank and rods and the block isn't 100% orig with .020 overbore and the crank has been turned .020 under to boot! :D
I poped out to their site and saw a simmilar kit but it had some options I would take advantage of.
Thanks for the detail info tedH. I will have about the same original as you do but I am going .030 bore.
If you are talking about the Summit kits with the Speed Pro pistons, etc., I think it is a good deal. On my rebuild I purchased all those parts separately from Summit and spent more than if I would have purchased the kit (they did not offer the kits then). I would purchase the kit if I had to do it over.
