I used to use a shoe in my '68 deVille. Once or twice I''ve done the same in the Vette-- just decide if you want more traction on your clutch foot or your gas/brake foot. The other shoe then goes on the e-brake console. :cheers:

There is a wood one that goes over the brake handle and the black plastic one that screws into the center console at the same basic location.
I think the plastic one looks better and will be the one I will install someday...probably...if Im extra bored. :jester

Thank you to all the daily corvette drivers for your replies. I knew I'd take some hits for wanting a to put a cup holder in my car. I know it all in good fun, and my cup holder will spend most of it's time in the garage, on the wall. The other mod I already made is a pretty blonde in the passenger seat. She loves the car, I'm a happy man. I know I know, some of you like red heads. To each his own.

DON'T GET THE MODEL THAT MOUNTS TO THE PARKING BRAKE !!
Pick up the one that mounts under the brake handle and screws into to tunnel-carpet panels (has 2 holders and a coin tray). It has reducers for cans/bottles that slip out to accomodate the BIG-GULPs. Got mine from Corvette Central, comes black and seems easily painted to match your interior if you desire. If also done extensive acelleration and cornering testing on it and have yet to find its limits.

I don't think I would be putting a cupholder on my E-brake. I use it so taking it off and putting it on would be a PITA. I like the old cell phone base Idea.. My wifes car has one of those old ones. Hmmmm :)
