R12 ,R134a, is what most shops are equipped to handle. So they won't touch a system tha has anything else due to cross contamination. Next problem is Freeze 12 is a blended refrigerant so as it leaks out (all sysyems do leak over time) ONE of the components leaks first due to smaller molecules. Now you cannot just top it off like you can with R12 or R134a. You would have to evacuate and recharge the entire system.to gbet the proper ratio . You are better of converting to R134a. It works fine.... My stock 69 keeps me cool even here in Florida.
