Default Checking for interest in a Steeroids group purchase

*EDIT*
This is now the offical GP thread. It is open so you can order at any time. We will keep it running until the end of the month. 30 April will be the last day to order.

At the moment we are running about 2 weeks to ship orders.

Ordering instructions:
Be sure that you give your Forum name and that you are with the group purchase when you order. You can order by calling 888 425-2776 or via our web site.

If you order online just put in the comment box that you are with the Forum GP and your Forum name. With online ordering the purchase will come thru at the normal amount but we will refund your card the difference for the GP amount.

The terms will be the usual GP arrangement with a discounted price of $985 (regular price is $1156) and a flat shipping price of $33 to anywhere in the US and Canada. So the total will be $1018.

If you aren't familiar with the product you can check it out at http://www.speeddirect.com/index.aspx?nodeID=24

Any further questions can be answered here.

What...nobody?!?!? I took advantage of the last GP and I'm telling the truth when I say it's the BEST thing I've done to improve my car's handling. So I'm gonna push this to the top and tell y'all to smash open your piggy banks cuz this one's worth it!

I wish I could, I really do, but (hopefully) I will be getting a different job, in a different city, and I need to save my pennies for moving expenses, just in case.

I just hope this will still be available when I CAN spend some money!

In the past I've piled on the group purchase lists, only to have one thing spring up or another. Interested again.

Doug70vert and Rottenrob, If you can get pictures of your driver's side header I can try to make a determination as to fitment. We can compare dimensions from the frame to your headers and get a god idea if it will fit. You can post the picture here our e-mail salescf@speeddirect.com

Yes, many customers are using Dynomax headers on small blocks and they fit fine.

Here is a list of headers that we have compiled from our customers.
Small Block
- Walker Dynomax fits
- Blackjack fits
- Flowtech 11106 or 31106 - dimple required on drivers side
- Hooker 2456 or 2456-1 (coated version of the 2456) Competition - fits no problem
- Hooker 2134 or2134-1 Super Comps - fits no problem
- Hooker 224, 224-1 or 2234 side pipes - dimple required in drivers side
- Hedman long tube 4-2-1 collector - major dimple required
- stock manifolds fit

Big Block
- Stahl 2 1/8 sidepipe headers - fit with a dimple
- Stock manifolds fit
- Hedman 2" primaries 68090 or 68097 - needs dimple
- Hooker sidepipes - fit

G'day thebruce, you're on the list.

Also, I received an e-mail from someones address of big632. I'm not sure what your forum name is but we will need that at some point so you can be included on the list. For now you are listed as big632.

Keep it comming guys. We usually start the GP when we have at least 10 people willing to participate.

I'm running Hooker sidemount headers on a small block. It looks like they may require a dimple. How big is this dimple?

Here is what was done to make it fit with sidepipe headers. This was done for the installation article in Corvette Fever back in Jan of 03. We have since changed the design of the bracket so the interference may be less. At least you get an idea of what is going on.

I'm very intrested but sitting back awaiting the outcome of some of the "issues" fellow Forum members had during install. The sticky binding issue has me greatly concerned but do recognize that the Forum members may very well have caused this do to improper install. What's the going rate on group purchase anyway?

I agree with Cali; I'm concerned about problems mentioned in this forum. I have Hooker Super Comp headers (rear exit). Will it work?

I too would be interested in a GP. :yesnod:
I have read about a few installation and adjustment concerns and would like to hear about how they were resolved. One being the u-jointed steering shaft binding. I don't want to have to move my steering column back like I have heard of some people doing.
My '69 has Hooker side mounts and is a small-block 4-speed car. I don't have a problem dimpling a header tube if necessary.
