Default starter questions

Well I tried to post pics to describe my problem but I need a lesson on how,but heres a link... http://members.cardomain.com/highness
alt went up in a poof of smoke.......new alt, same poof.....HULK SMASH!!!!!! I have 3 wires still stumping me and i have 3 diagrams that are only mildly helpful...confusing to say the least......in the bottom pic i dotted the 3 wires in question.......where do they go? The blue and red are the ones i hooked to my starter hot pole and the yellow i grounded by the trans.....what am i doing wrong? when my alt went the first time i found i also fried 2 connectors, ive replaced them but i dont want to fry them again....any ideas?thanx in advance for any help. oh and if i leave the plastic connector on the top of the alt unplugged,no smoke and it cranks!! plug it in poof!!! GRRRRRRR!!!
Oh and i didnt take it apart, i got it as a basketcase or id know how to put it back together!!!!

Welcome to the Forum.

The link below may be of help. You can search he archives (left side of page towards the top) for information. Try "starter wiring" and search the "archive" of "C3", "Text" of the post (vs title). Lots of good info in the archives.
