fuel injection conversion
has anybody done a fuel injection swap on their shark? i am starting to gather parts to put a tpi set up on my 77 L82 and i am looking for references for a computer and harness. i plan on using the original engine and remaining emissions legal. btw does anyone no what the cam specs are for a 77 L82. i ran across them somewhere but it didn't seem right. i think it said it was a 220/220 duration. :chevy

I just converted mine. It's not emissions leagal tho, used an Accel Gen VII ECU and removed all the emissions equipment. :yesnod: I can get an exemption for it tho

cmashark, You can make the conversion, and it can give the correct or better reading for your emissions, but be aware, In VA you must pass a visual test also, and any deviation from original can cause it to fail that part of the test. Be sure you know of a shop that won't fail you visually because it does not comply with originality. Just by keeping all the emission equipment on the engine does not mean it will pass.
