Electric Window conversion.

So, I started looking for electric window regulators to replace my manual windows. Man, I was shocked when I saw how much electric regulators and motors cost. It will cost me nearly $700.00 for the motors and regulators!
That's too damned high!
So I started looking around, found this place that sells conversion kits for cars and street-rods. They didn't have a kit for the Corvette, but the kit for the 67-69 Camaro looks like it might work.

Here's the Camaro kit

Here's the Corvette kit from Eckler's

They look pretty similar, the windows are about the same size, the travel should be about the same, I wonder if it could be adapted?

I saw some Motors that fir instead of the crank on the outside of the door panel. very cheap.
I also saw some motors that slip onto the crank shaft behind the door panel , so the crank shaft can stay installed and turns while operating the window electrically. Also cheap.
Just an option, hence not original appearing. :seeya
Good luck. Gunther

I had contacted Carols about some other parts I needed and asked them if they had the parts for doing this conversion and was told that they had all of the parts including the harness. He told me he would give me a good deal if I got both regulators, both motors, harness and switches. The used parts that I got from him were in really good condition, they needed cleaning but were as good as new once cleaned.
