2. Slotted head wood screws are a good alternative to automotive Phillips screws and other similar hardware
How true this one is.
Here is another,
11. If the bolts are too long, use a stack of washers or whatever means to make the length work. Example: On my front bumpers, the bolts were too long and bubba added washers on one side of the car, and on the other side he used a lug nut and some washers to make it work. :smash:
13. If you've misplaced a bolt, just fire up the welder.
My steeroids kit has been sitting around for a while because the previous owner welded one of the original P/S brackets on rather than go to the store and get a couple bolts.

When an electrical connection must be made, twisting the wires together and adding some electrical tape for protection is a safe and practical solution.
19. Mounting plate for rear end cracks in half, weld the pieces on top of one another and then grind the stub axles down when they smack the battery box. :skep:
When water leak is detected, Silicone and epoxy every seam and crack in the wiper cowl area(with about 12 tubes of silicone and epoxy). After that does not alleviate the problem, remove windshield trim (crack widshield in the process) and discover bird cage is no longer there(eaten away by rust demons)... continue with 15 more tubes of silicone and epoxy, fill the rail completely, Duct tape over the silicon, replacement of trim is optional now that the clips are gone.. after all, they came off with the trim!!
Make plates out of flexible plastic for your aftermarket speakers. This must be designed so the speakers and plate fall out when crossing railroad tracks or upon hard braking. Non matching carpet it optional.
Hook up your speakers with 10 ga wire attached to a 24 ga (or smaller) wire from the radio. Each wire should have at least 4 splices to avoid another trip to circut city. :yesnod:
