Have any of you purchased and/or installed Eckler's Rosewood Center Dash & Console Kit or the Burlwood Center Dash & Console Kit?
From what I gather, they're some sort of faux-wood cover for the gauge cluster and the console. I think they'd improve the interior of my '80, but I'd like to hear any comments you'd care to share about your experiences with them.
TIA!
if you're interested I pulled this Faux-wood off my center cluster and tach and speedo from the 79 i'm working on if you're interested I'll take some pics and you can make an offer on it......it looked decent in the car. Though i'mc ertinl;y not changing it just bc of that but yet I'm revamping the whole care from the ground up.........
I have the same "no-mar" simulated wood grain kit and I'm not to happy with it :mad The higher end kits might look better (better materials). I'm going to take mine off and use it as a template to make a set out of real wood. This way I can make it out of anything I want
I have the burlwood kit in my car. My wife bought it for me as a Christmas gift. It is OK and I don't regret putting it in although I believe I would have been happier with the Rosewood kit. My console had really been abused and this kit was a definate improvement over what was there.
As most things of this nature are, it is a personal preference.
