Oil filter adapter ....
Is there supposed to be a gasket, or an O ring between the oil filter adapter and the block in a stock motor?

If I remember correctly when I installed mine it was a 2 bolt which used a gasket btn the adapter plate and the block, the connector doesn't need one as the gasket is built into the filter.

Green76 is right, no gasket is required, we made one and put it in place as when I took it all apart I wasn't convinced that a small leak was originating in that area - sealed it up good.
