Default electrical help

Today i got in my 73, the following devices, which were working yesterday, are not working... Ammeter reads -40 even though i'm 1000% sure there is no short in the car. The emergency brake warning light. Starter. These just all of a sudden won't work today. All fuses are good. Accessory and run positions on the key work great. Stereo works, lights work, car fires and runs if i pop start it with the clutch. Is there a fuseable link somewhere? Thanks, Mike

There is a fusible link at the starter- right up near where the positive attaches. Welcome to Vette ownership!

it ain't the battery. It pushed an 800 watt jl audio amp and a 300 watt sony amp at loud volume for about 4 hours today, not hooked up to the charger. Its only those few items that don't work.
