anybody have rebuild tools they want to sell or can tell me where to buy, only
have 2 to do and don't need high end production tools. i think i have everything Except the tool to compress the drum.. Any help out there ????
so you used wood ???? did it try to splinter??? or is the spring pressure low
enough not to load the edge of the wood that hard ??? it looks like 2x4
it's isn't that big is it ?????
they are 1x3 and the spring pressure is very light. you can actually push the plate in with both hands-- but than you need to remove the retaining clip which would take a little finesse. the length is adapted to my press that you see the wood sitting on and can be any length.
i bought the book by Ron Sessions "How to rebuild the TH350" which walks you step by step though the rebuild process.
I have done the reverse clutch pack drum with two wooden hammer handles. They are a little tougher than just plain wood. It kinda takes a third hand to get the snap ring out. Re-installing is just a little harder.
