Update on the 427.
This Biscayne is a total loss:( It has a 4speed and its green and rust.
Theres no trunk, floors the seats are gone. It does run, The body and crossmember are wasted. I just hope geting it up on the flatbed with out it coming apart. The origanals owner's widow said its a L36 what ever that is.
I'm going to get some pics and send it to carsinbarns. Looks like I'm the second owner of a car that roted outside for 20yrs. The odomiter reads 36985.

Put the motor on ebay I saw a '66 427 block go for 6 grand, I told the guy it wasn't a Vette motor, he didn't care seems tthe numbers still matched up. :lol:

Like Gunther stated it's a '66-'69 427 390hp 2 bolt main block with oval port heads. It was the base Big Block option, but PLENTY of room for improvement. :cheers:
