Re: is this real ?? (Eddie 70)
As a rule,no they do not bring that much money.Whats driving the price on this one is the only 26 original miles  .I wonder how they will go about authenticating that? By the way, thanks again for the part neverending.
Looks like a good driver, but first you would need to yank out the big block & sell it. Put in a targetmaster 350, add a wing, 25" rims, gold kit & new paint.
Only then would you have a cool ride that's actually worth something.
I would expect a car like that(even if 100% true & real)would be sitting in a Chevy showroom or Classic car showroom. A true "26" mile car MAY NOT even be practically driveable anymore due to seals, brakes, etc. BUT THIS CAR IS SITTING OUT IN A FIELD WHERE THEY TOOK THE PICS
Yeah, like your just "going to drive" a 26 mile 34yr old car out for pics :skep: :bs
Look dudes these are jokes. A bunch of guys chiped in .50 cents each to place the add and a bunch more are bidding on it. Who in the F would bid that kind of scratch and not seing the car.
there were no factoy LS6 Corvettes made in 1970. with no pics of the bill of sale, build sheet, and no vin number I will call :bs it does look like a nice 70 SS but not for 350K
Could be... I've always wanted one of these or the El Camino(or both!!!). But I want one of every model of muscle car of this era! I would want to drive it often and hard. Below is from a Chevelle site.
"There were two engines available for the '70 SS-454 : the 360 horsepower "LS5" and the 450 horsepower "LS6". The '70 LS5 Chevelle is actually rarer than the '70 LS6 Chevelle. The LS6 was only available in the '70 Chevelle, the '70 El Camino, and the '71 Corvette. It was never installed by the factory in *any* other cars. The '70 LS5 motor used in the Corvette was identical to the Chevelle LS5, but rated at 390 horsepower in the Corvette. There is purported to be one known genuine LS6 Chevelle with the L89 aluminum head option."
1970 SS Production Numbers:
RPO Z25 (SS 396), coupes, convertibles, & El Caminos 53,599
RPO Z1 5 (SS 454), coupes, convertibles, & El Caminos 8,773
Total Super Sports, all engines 62,372

LS6 motors in 1970 Chevelles had IRON heads not aluminum! I wonder how much the 1971 ZR-2 LS-6 Vette across the bay from me is worth? There were only 8 of those made and they're WAY better to drive than that passenger car! I think every car is appreciating but my 72 LT-1! I guess I'll just have to modify it more than it has been! The person bidding on the car my never actually buy it, I have had people flake on my Ebay auto auctions and the problem is they can just re-register under another name and do it again! I know a guy with a disassembled LS-6 Chevelle sitting in the attic of his shop, I guess he firgures his is worth $100K now (I know what you are thinking but, he has a forklift and it was easy for him to get it up there.)
