Solid spicer U-joint (the aftermath)
I broke a u-joint cap in half last week that causes a vibration and here is what I found...the bolts that hold the metal strap was loose. 
Those 1980-82 model use 12 points tiny bolts to secure the strap and from now on, I will use locktite on them to prevent a disaster.

I check my half-shaft bolts all the time (both ends each side) and regularly find that there's a bit of movement. Drives me nuckin' futz!

Same ujoints are on the drive shaft, best check them too. The drive shaft to differential bolts are fun since you can't really see them.
They always make me nervous, rebuilding the rear end earlier in the year I was thinking "these little screws are holding the whole rear end together"?
