Default The password + Diff drain

Hi Guys

Firstly, can I not change that random number and letter password to something that I can remember without having this piece of scrap paper leaned up against the monitor?

I have purchased Castrol GL5 80W90 differential fluid. Is that going to be OK for the diff, and where is the drain plug for the diff on my 73?

Does that tag on the diff fill plug say anything about the diff ratio, I have not cleaned it yet to see what it says?

Ironically enough it tells you what lube to put in I believe

To your original question, I'm not familiar completely with all that stuff, but I do know since it's a limited slip you need for sure a GM Additive but the lube itself I'm not sure.

EDIT: for the password click MY PROFILE on your left, then the first menu option on that

Can' t help ya with the password. I doubt they will make it easy on ya.

There is no drain plug, just a fill plug the you remove and replace out of. Old stuff will have to be sucked out. The tag says use posi trac additive, which can be gotten at any AC Delco dealer, it is now called limited slip additive.

Gear ratio code should be stamped onto the differential case.
