1980 Rim Options (ideas?)
Well... I'm off the garage to continue work on the interrior refurb and should have it done by the weekend. Am already thinking about moving to the exterrior and have been seeing A LOT of really rims on some of your Vettes.
I would appreciate picture postings in this thread from anyone with custom rims on their Vette. I'm on the hunt for the personalized look and rims will probably be the first step.

17x8.5's with 255/50/17's and the rears are 17x9.5's with 275/50/17's. The picture in my sig shows my old 40/45 series tires, but I now have the 50 series Nitto tires. I like them a lot better than the original Goodyear tires that came on those rims in 1996.

This has become an addiction! And the forum just fuels the fire!
Seriously, I purchased the car so that I could leave work thoughts behind and "unwind"...and I have an understanding wife... Key is that I dig in after my wife and son go to bed. Also, engage on the weekends over the weekends....try to save jobs that my 6year old will enjoy.
Just talked my wife out of going to Branson, MO for a 4 day weekend...instead, we'll finish work on several rooms at home and I will get some quality time on the vette.
Nice wheels. What kind of offset and how wide are they? Also did you do offset trailing arms? Great looking car.
Thanks, They are 17" x 8" wide with 4" back spacing. I didn't have to fit offset trailing arms, just fitted the wheels and drove the car, they fit fine with no problems.
You might like these rims Torque Thrust D's 16x8 with 265x55x16 rear 255x55x16 front, but some day I 'll make the off set trailing arms and put the 10 inches tire and 17 rim in the rear.
