Re: C3 meets C6...(dial up beware) (Corvette_fetish)
still want to get up close and personal with one but so far i think the c6 is going to be very much like the early c4 was for me. i didn't think the c4 styling was ready for production until '91.
the c6 should be shorter (they got that part), wider and lower than a c5 or any corvette before. if they're going to copy styling influences, why not copy ferrari rather than chrysler or honda? i have no doubt that performance and handling wise, the c6 will be a considerable step above the c5. however, if that is our only measure of the corvette, we could always go get a mosler consulier and badge that as a vette.

The Bow Tie logo is right where its supposed to be. Take a look at the rear cross flags. I saw a silver one on power tour. A dealer had it at the Chicago cruise night, funny the GM boys didn't have a tricked out c6, just a c5 with them on powertour.

I like the car. I do admit that it does resemble a C5 greatly but what can you do. I can't wait for the first thread about "Can I fit C6 seats in my C3?"
Re: C3 meets C6...(dial up beware) (Corvette_fetish)
thanks!
unlike some of the girls here, i will have no trouble telling a c5 from a c6.
As soon as GM issued photos in Jan., i placed my deposit.
But i plan to keep my 61, and 72 as they are way cool blasts from the past. I wonder which one will break first!
Line up the Gens and tell me the C5 and C6 have a change in styling in the magnitude of the other Gen changes.
Line up a C1, C2, C3, C4 and C5 and ANYONE can see the generational changes...not so with a C5 to C6. Nice car, love the bump in power under the hood and priced very well (how in the world dealers are still selling C5s is beyond me)...but hardly a new generation....
