Im going to be installing a tilt front end with fender flares built in, as well fender flares in the rear, then we're going to put on the 17 by 12 rims we got a little while back, we already have gymkhana springs and KYB gas-adjust shocks on all four corners, and a dual exhuast with chambered pipes, and sine you cant have all of that without some power to back it up we've installed a 650 cfm BG speed demon carb with an edelbrock performer RPM intake and a wilder summit cam and lifter kit, as well Willwoods superlyte 4 piston calipers on the front to get it to stop. Hopefully in the end itll be one of the more one of kind vettes on this forum

Not yet, the guy is sending it out thursday, its starting to annoy me with him postponing it and making up excuses but we dont really have a choice since we didnt have money to get the ecklers tilt front end, if he doesnt give us a tracking number by thursday we're stopping the payment since we used a credit card. Meanwhile we did come up with a really ingenius retractable bumper solution so that if somebodys backing up into us while were parked the front end wont crack, we're thinking of having two hole in the grill where on each side a piece of flat metal will slide out from the front frame extensions, and then you just slide a piece of steel tubing into holes made at the tip of the two retractable pieces, and the tubing would act as bumper, then once youre ready to get going just take out the pipe and slide the metal brackets back under the front end. To make the two pieces of steel slide were thinking of having two bolts put into the flat side of the main frame extensions (the one with the vacuum reservoir), and then the two pieces of flat steel with the holes at the end, will have an oval cut into them, so then the oval will go over the bolts allowing it to slide back and forth. Sorry it so long but i tried my best to explain it. I just thought youd want to know in case you want do the same for your front end

Does anyone make or sell the CanAm or Greenwood kits that were available in the 80's? Ecklers used to sell them.

Legendary Corvette in PA got the molds from Eckler's and sells the flare kits! They advertise in Chevy/Corvette Trader -------- Larry's a great guy to deal with. Rick

you'd be hard pressed to find a single stock part on this car.

Hey, all you guys with tilt hoods; is there any way to keep the pop-up lights while using a tilt hood?

not with what's on the market, I built my own one that hinges at the front and not at the header bar. I have my stock headlights.

, if you want to keep the pop up headlights youll need to do some fabricating, thats why i just decided to mount them in the grille like on GSC3 corvette, that way i can also save tons of weight by removing the entire pop up assembly

My current setup has about 1/3 of the weight of the original setup (or maybe even less than that)

Yours must be made of lead, mine don't weigh a lot at all, hardly something worth saving weight on.

LMHO, i just remember pulling them out after the accident and they weighed quite a bit, also we were planning on getting rid of the front frame extension that contains the vacuum tube in it, that thing wieghs a lot. We're not doing so much to save weight, but more because we just dont have th skills and equipment to fab up a support frame like on yours, so were just taking the easy way out
