Nope they are not. The Vortec heads are a cast iron head while the fast burns are aluminum. Im not positive if its the same head and material is different, but I dont think so. If your putting a vortec head on an older motor remember that you will have to buy a new vortec intake manifold, it wont work with the old style intakes. Also the valve covers are different.

The bolt pattern on the fast burn is the same as our stockers. (I think)

Almost!!!! I just built a Vortec R motor with Iron heads a Wicked GM cam, GM Intake & Z28 Valve springs..... With the Hooker headers & Sidepipes and a crane cams ignition, I should be just over 400hp ..... I'm told..... I hope.... The install starts a 5 Friday.... Hope to test drive BEFORE IVAN gets here!!!!
