whats it worth
Anyone have an idea of what i could sell my car for as is:
1980 vette 85k miles automatic l48, pretty good interior, pretty good exterior, not running condition( threw a rod, no block damage known but engine has not been opened up, so don't no for sure.)
Thanks for any guesses that you all have, I'll probably try to do a repair instead of a rebuild or new motor and keep the car, but just checking out my options

I'd think $1500 is pretty low if all else is in good condition.
$3000-4000 is probably a reasonable price if everything else is in good, working condition.

Although not a very good source, NADA shows it at $7k low retail and $13K average retail. I would think it is fair to say that the bad engine would drop the value by $1500 to $2500. You got to keep in mind that newer C3's sell for a few thousand less than the older C3's.
