Is anyone using the Edelbrock Pro-Flo EFI or Accel DFI kits. If so what are the good and bad things about them. Are they easy to install? Any clearence problems?
Accel/DFI offers a single plane/4 bbl style as well. The edelbrock system is less expensive, but less flexible. For base or crate type engines the pro-flow is a better buy, for high HP applications go with DFI
Most cost effective system that still gives you a high degree of control is the Holley Commander 950 system. Available both as TBI and multi-port. I have some info on my webpage on the install. The FI and Tremec 5-speed made my 454 deliver 20.7 mpg on the highway.
I am running the Accel Gen 7 computer, but I didn't go with one of their complete kits. The install is easy, but the learning curve for tuning the computer is high. The instructions that come with the kit basically tell you how to install the software, but not how to tune the motor. There is a lot of good information on tuning the Gen 6 ECM and I was able to use some of that to help tune mine. It's a great setup, but if you need detailed instructions when using a computer you will need to plan on having an accel shop tune it.

I think this system would look great under the hood of mine. Just hate the thought of having to pay for it. I also think Zwedes setup rocks. I will probably invest in one of these systems in the next year or so.
